My friend, Tammy Jolley, told me about KSHP AM 1400 Radio Shopping Show and I have been hooked ever since! Businesses that want free advertising offer special deals on the show and not only that, but during their call-in sessions, the radio host often offers even better savings during that session! Anyways, we called this our Radio Shopping Show vacation because I had a certificate from the Show for everything that we did. We started our vacation at Bounce U in Henderson. The kids had a great time with all the bouncy houses and slides, and as you can see by the video, Aaron had a great time too! Then, we stayed at the Hacienda Hotel by Boulder Dam where we went swimming and let the kids stay up late watching movies. Aaron even talked the front desk people into popping us some popcorn! The next morning, Aaron did a flight line through the canyon while I took the kids to an antique store and a park. On the way home, we went bowling (I won!) and then ate at Lucina's Mexican Cocina. Aaron makes fun of me for listening to AM 1400 so much, but thanks to me, we were able to have a cheap, memorable vacation! (I do have to say that I have cut back my listening recently. I decided that maybe I DO listen too much when we were climbing in the car and Preslyn says, "221-SAVE, 221-SAVE Next caller please!")
